If you live in or around New York City, you’ll soon be able to enjoy Wi-Fi service at the Grand Central Terminal, 34th St. Herald Square, and Bryant Park subway stations, as early as this summer.
William Bayne of Transit Wireless said “Hundreds of millions of new annual subway patrons will soon receive the benefits of having all the major wireless carriers in the subway stations. We are setting the stage for future innovations that will provide riders with an enhanced experience in the New York City subway system.”
Transit Wireless expects to have Wi-Fi service enabled at 277 subway stations by 2107.
Service will still be unavailable in tunnels, however.
