Apple Acquires High Velocity, Photo-Taking SnappyLabs There’s a one-man army behind SnappyLabs, the maker of SnappyCam, proven to take photos faster than Apple’s own iPhone camera, at 20-30 frames per one single second!

Apple got wind of it and scooped up the start-up run by John Papandriopoulos. So those wondering where SnappyCam is on the web, since it vanished from the Apple App Store along with its websites going blank, can wonder no more.

SnappyLabs has been acquired by Apple Inc.

Apple confirmed this acquisition yesterday morning (January 5th, 2014), adding — along with the confirmation — a bit tersely, though in a perfectly appropriate business manner: “Apple buys smaller technology companies from time to time, and we generally do not discuss our purpose or plans.”
