Right in time for the holiday season, Camera+, one of the oldest and most popular third-party camera apps on iOS, has received a brand new update.
Now in its fifth version, Camera+ sports an iOS 7-inspired “streamlined” interface, with better shooting toggles and a more modern brand icon that is flatter in design. Users will also notice that other icons within the app have been refined, giving the whole thing a slicker feel. However, aesthetic changes are not the big talking point here – that honor is reserved for the all-new editing suite.
Known as “The Lab”, the new editor offers the “best quality adjustments, delivered in a very slick UI”. As noted by TNW, all the features you would expect to find in an editing suite are here: sharpen, straighten, temperature, saturation, exposure and more, and all benefit from one-touch toggles.
Arguably the best of the new features within the suite is Clarity Pro, which allows vibrancy boost and clarity adjustment to really fine-tune those snaps.
Other notable changes in Camera+ 5 include the separation of exposure compensation and exposure lock controls for easier access, and the ability to make your own iOS 7 wallpaper with blur and saturation tools. Photos can also be cropped to fit perfectly with the iOS parallax design.
The new update is available free to all existing users. If you do not already have Camera+, you will need to part with $1.99 for the iPhone/iPod Touch version and $4.99 for the native iPad version.
You can download the app and check out the full changelog by heading to the App Store.
