Mark Zuckerberg speaking over the weekend to ABC’s This Week has given keen insight into the Facebook CEO’s priorities and personal political leanings. The bottom line is that Zuckerberg made no bones about letting all and sundry know that the snoopy NSA/National Security Agency spying, currently, blows.
Facebook, Yahoo, and Google are all amongst the companies named who allegedly gave access to the NSA concerning data. Facebook in return have asked the NSA to let them disclose more details about the security requests. Now, Zuckerberg in the flesh — prefacing and couching his remarks with experienced business acumen — made sure everyone would know how optimistically minded he is over immigration reform — yet made known his disdain for the National Security Agency’s nationwide surveillance sweeps: “I think the government really blew it on this one”. To dig the metaphorical dagger in deeper, the Facebook CEO added his past sentiments to the mix: “I honestly think that they’re continuing to blow it in some ways, and I hope that they become more transparent in that part of it.”
