A new gallery, called the Google Maps Gallery, which is connected to the Google Maps Public Data Program, was started today. National Geographic is included, as an example.
This official Public Data Program will offer access to what has been previously not too easy to find. People locate it currently as a PDF or image file.
“The intent here is to provide an interactive digital atlas around anyone’s mapping content” says Google Maps product manager Jordan Breckenridge.
