ZTE or Huawei may be a little cumbersome to pronounce as a company name. Therefore, China’s smartphone carrier has come up with the brand, Nubia.
Just a month ago, ZTE started selling its popular phone in China on the US market, with Radio Shack, Target and Amazon.com getting in on the Eastern giant’s wares. Though it will take a new strategy as unlike China, US consumers’ smartphones are locked into carrier plans.
The best off the assembly line were announced Tuesday, as ZTE’s current Nubia handsets came out. Leading the pack is the Z5S. A sleek 5-inch chasis houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with 443 pixels-per-inch in a touchscreen format. There is also a Z5S mini.
