A log-in to iGoogle now redirects you to Google’s home address. Announced in July of last year and actualized on November 1, iGoogle is no more. It lasted for 8 years or so. When iGoogle was started in 2005 they had no idea how outdated they would fast become.
Google Reader was also axed this year, just this past summer.
Small wonder that iGoogle had stayed around this long. Maybe it was that the content could be used for Google+. The real reason is centered on the fact that iGoogle was not an integrated experience nor driven towards excellence as the other products of Google’s expertise: Gmail, Android, YouTube, Adwords and Google+
