Next week, Japanese smartphone users will receive notifications warning them of missile launches.
The J-Alert system, already in use to warn of eaethquakes, will be used to alert users when there’s a missile launch.
In recent years, North Korea has sent missiles toward Japanese waters.
SoftBank, NTT Docomo, and KDDI, will be the 3 carriers participating in the missile alert system.
