We saw Samsung launch the Galaxy Round, in October 2013 to a curious but tempered audience. Now, LG, the 4th-largest smartphone maker, has announced that it will begin selling its curved screen G-Flex smartphone. South Korea’s LG Electronics will start selling the phones first in Europe, in over 20 of its key nations including Britain, Germany and Sweden.
The G-Flex smartphone represents a revolution that is just beginning to take hold, as its sleek body contours to one’s face (think of a traditional old-fashioned house phone and how it curves). The old leads to the new as bendable and flexible panels are incorporated into new shapes which can then be folded or rolled, leading to an exciting origami-like vision of the smartphone’s future.
The G-Flex Smartphone was seen on display at the CES in Nevada, just 2 weeks ago, sparking conversation and surprising quite a few pundits by its lightweight and compact look.
