Zuckerberg has formed a group Internet.org, and partnered with Samsung, Nokia, Ericsson, and other companies, to bring the Internet to those currently without connectivity.
On a Facebook page, Zuckerberg asks “Is Connectivity A Human Right?”
Zuckerberg says “Today, only 2.7 billion people — a little more than one third of the world’s population — have internet access. Even more surprising, internet adoption is growing by less than 9% each year, which is slow considering how early we are in its development and that it is expected to slow further.”
What do you think of Zuckerberg’s plans? Is it a noble effort, or a marketing plan for Facebook to complete their takeover of the Internet?
