Four options are on the agenda for U.S. President Barack Obama that address the NSA and their snooping data collection program. One of those is that Obama has the power to pull the plug on it. In January he stated something that might cause him to break a sweat more than his usual exercise routine: President Obama would have “to determine exactly how this system might work”
There are three other options: Another is that the FBI can hold on to the information collected. A telecom company or federal agency can be brought in as a third party is yet another option. Lastly an option exists that the NSA can inform the companies that they are performing surveillance for, exacting some legitimate reason, meaning the suspicion of terrorism may abound.
