Oculus VR, have netted $75 million in funding from the venture capital firm, Andreessen Horowitz. The co-founder of the influential firm, Marc Andreessen will join the ranks of Oculus VR’s board of directors.
Brendan Iribe, Oculus VR CEO, stated this: “This additional infusion of capital, as well as the leadership and experience of Marc Andreessen, will help us take the final steps toward our ultimate goal: Making virtual reality something consumers everywhere can enjoy”.
The panoramic, stereoscopic 3D Oculus Rift headset being touted as the future of the web and beyond may very well possibly manifest itself for the forward-thinking civilization. Should all go well for the device, civilization and its marketers, of course.
