Pinterest updates are ready.
Pinterest is keeping user interest high by making some adjustments. Pinterest’s iOS and Android mobile apps now support GIFs. GIFs are a fascinating feature that started in late January, and the company says that it has “tens of millions” of them in its database, and mobile devices will now be able to play them. GIF is, by the way, defined as “a lossless format for compressing images.”
Place Pins started in November of 2013, and, being geologically location-information driven, it has been used for trip planning. 750 million places have been pinned, and 1.5 million new places get pinned each day.
The iPad Pinterest app is supporting Place Pins.
Look out, Tumblr!
