Utilizing LED lighting on the ceiling of supermarkets, Philips has come up with an “intelligent” lighting solution for navigating around movie theaters and airports and other public spaces. The system is used by shoppers who download a special app, and get the data about special offers, with the ability to help them find items. You know how confusing it can be when there are dozens of brands that you can choose from, and your partner has made it clear that he/she wants Dove soap (and not something else).
The system has a pilot program going in Europe with retailers testing the waters.
