Waterproof smartphones Xperia Z Ultra and Xperia Z, both new and unlocked, along with the SmartWatch 2 have hit the U.S. market as of Tuesday.
Sony has a new buy-and-go tag for the SmartWatch 2, as reportedly text messages, Gmail, Facebook, calendar events, etc. are all accessible in a quick few after the screen lights up. Pulling more juice from the battery than what’s gone before it, as well as a 1.6-inch display – referred to as being trans-reflective – sporting 220-by-176-pixel resolution; dandy as a candy apple as the smart watch can be read in the brightest of sunlight.
Another juicy bite of info is that the SmartWatch2 can reign in more than 80 Android apps with further access to the 200 apps built for the SmartWatch1.
Xperia Z Ultra: A 6.4-inch Triluminos display houses itself in a 1/4-inch thick depth. That’s pretty darn thin. HD with the option of being sold unlocked and its cost being $649.99 for the HSPA+ model and the LTE edition costing $30 more. Black white or purple? Your choice.
Xperia Z1: HSPA+. This phone is a thicker one costing $669.99. Highlighted is the phone’s 20.7 megapixel camera that makes for a digital camera quality experience. Loaded with apps and its your choice of purple black or white. And, of course, it is waterproof.
