Snapchat Security Swiss Cheese Makes iPhone Vulnerable

Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel

Snapchat security being like Swiss cheese has another problem, involving their security tokens that never expire — by careless design causing trouble — that has surfaced that may allow an iPhone to be ravaged by messages that can make it crash.

Also this same flaw with the nothing-but-trouble Snapchat app can allow millions to be spammed:

A researcher, Jaime Sanchez wrote: “I’m able to use a custom script I’ve created to send snaps to a list of users from several computers at the same time. That could let an attacker send spam to the 4.6 million leaked account list in less than one hour.”

Snapchat users have already been warned of the catastrophe that associating with Snapchat brings.
