Sony Gives In To Hacker Threats - Won't Release The InterviewSony Pictures has decided to halt the release of The Interview.

The comedy, which was to be released on Christmas Day, was the target of a hacker group that made threats agains theaters that would have showed the movie.

American intelligence agencies have confirmed that the hacking episode and threats were in some way connected with the North Korean government.

Theater chains that refused to show the movie were a main reason for Sony’s decision.

Sony said “We respect and understand our partners’ decision and, of course, completely share their paramount interest in the safety of employees and theatergoers.”

Will this incident, and Sony’s capitulation in the face of threats spark other similar attacks and threats?

How will the United states government respond to what is a state-sponsored cyberattack and terror threat by another nation?
