A bill designed to protect students online has been introduced in Congress.
The Student Digital Privacy and Parental Rights Act of 2015 would prohibit website and app operators from knowingly selling students’ personal information to third parties, disclosing students’ personal information, or to create profiles of students apart from school-related activities.
The bill would also let parents view information that is stored regarding their children; as well as let them correct or delete information.
