Embedding a PDF file into a WordPress page or post is easier than you might imagine. In just a matter of a few minutes, even a beginner can successfully embed a PDF file into a desired page post. Download Embed PDF Plugin to make the process of embedding a PDF simpler.
You can use this plugin to embed a PDF file with the help of the Google Docs Viewer, as it will let you simply include the URL for the PDF document you want to embed in your page or post.
The URL for the PDF document can be pasted in its own line, or it can be placed in the embed tag like “embed”. Once done, the plugin will embed the PDF file through the Google Docs Viewer embed code, and the user is done with embedding the PDF. But remember while embedding the file that the url of the document must end with .pdf
Changing the size of the embedded PDF file too is possible. You can customize it depending on your page size and the space allotted. Its width and height can be altered by you easily as shown in the example below:
If the PDF file that you want to embed in your WordPress page is in your device, then you will only have to click on the “Add Media” icon. There are options for you to select the file and upload it, else you are free to drag it to your WordPress page as well. Once you do so, you can customize the PDF by adding the description you want, and you can give it a title too. Lastly, click “Insert Into Post” and uploading is over.
So, PDF file embedding is easier now. Happy embedding!
