TUTORIAL: How To Use The Gravity Forms PluginWordPress admins can easily and quickly create contact forms on their WordPress sites using the Gravity Forms plugin.

Installation process:

Gravity Forms offers 3 purchase plans and licenses: Personal, Business, and Developer.

Choose the plan that works best for you.

The next step is to upload the plugin to your site:

  • Purchase and download the plugin zip file to your desktop
  • Go to the WordPress Dashboard
  • Select “Add New” under the Plugins navigation
  • Click on the “upload” link (below the page title)
  • Click on the “BROWSE” button
  • Select the Gravity Forms plugin zip file from your desktop
  • Click the “ok” or “open” button
  • Click on the “Install Now” button

Once the installation is complete, activate the Gravity Forms plugin by clicking the “Activate Plugin” link on the upload confirmation screen.

Next, you’ll need to enter your  Support License Key. There is a “Forms” menu item added by Gravity Forms to the WordPress Dashboard, and under this menu, the “Settings” link is found, which is where you’ll enter the license key.

New form creation process:

  • Locate the form editor that appears on the left hand side of the screen.
  • Activate form settings interface by clicking on the title of the form. You can manage a wide variety of form options.
  • The form field toolbox appears on the right side of the page. From here, you can select the field types that you wish to add to the new form.
  • You can simply add the fields by clicking them.
  • If you wish to edit any of the added fields, you can do so by placing your mouse over the field and clicking on ‘Edit Link’.
  • You can drag and drop the fields to easily rearrange them in the form and click on update form.
  •  After you complete all the above mentioned steps, do not forget to click the ‘Save’ button.

Now you can preview your form, continue to edit it or set up email notifications or return to the form list.

Editing the existing form:

If you wish to perform some tweaks to your form, you can do so by using the feature “Edit Forms”. This page shows a complete list of all the forms created using the Gravity Forms plugin. Besides editing or managing the forms you can also quickly check on basic analytics such as views and conversation ratios.

You can easily sort the forms by various options such as status, ID, form name, views, entries and conversions.

Scrolling over form shows a number of form options for editing, such as edit, preview, entries, notifications, duplicate, and delete.

You can also select forms and perform bulk deletions.

Gravity Forms integrates well with PayPal, MailChimp, FreshBooks, and AWeber, and comes with additional plugins for further modifications to forms.
