Verizon Wireless just this morning announced its first very own tablet, the 7-inch Ellipsis 7. It runs on Android Jelly Bean. Supposedly it can compete with the likes of the Nexus 7 by Google, which it is — incidentally — $20 dollars more expensive to buy than.
It was designed and manufactured by a third-party like Quanta or Foxconn.
Verizon Wireless have made an interesting move by coming out with this tablet as it already has Samsung and Apple tablets filling its store shelves. More curious is how Verizon have announced that there will be a line of Ellipsis family products coming out.
It is to go on sale on November 7th, 2013 for $249.99 (dollars), off-contract.
RedBox, who run a joint venture with Verizon will be on-board for the Ellipsis 7.
Ellipsis 7 features include a 7-inch IPS display which is 1280 x 800. It has 8GB of storage, 1GB of RAM, a front-facing camera, LTE connectivity, and an unspecified 1.2GHz quad-core processor.
