YouTube Wants The Real YouUsers have to use their real names on YouTube. Since YouTube has gotten more involved with Google+, people are lamenting the loss of anonymity.

On Reddit, you can still be anonymous. It is there that a post has given the call to action to complain, en force, on Google’s product page. Being forced to use real names, as befits the policy, has caused the front page of Reddit to have skyrocketing  numbers of 22,000 upvotes.

YouTube co-founder Jawed Karim, broke an 8-year silence, to voice his concerns over the changes. Jawed Karim entered the record books by posting the first YouTube video ever called “Me at the Zoo”.

YouTube is known for having some of the worst trolls leaving comments for videos. Sometimes it gets so bad that the comments section have to be disabled for a particular post.

A Change.org petition has been lent added gravitas to the complaints department by calling for Google to go back to the time when YouTube’s commenting system had a former anonymous condition. 88,000 people have signed the petition.

Maybe by using their real names people won’t be so crude and rude. It makes you question if those who signed the petition have an agenda.
